Hello & Welcome!

Grace Ranch, LLC . . .Hello & Welcome!

Hello and welcome to GraceRanchLLC.com! Although our family started GRACE RANCH in 2006, this is our first real venture into cyber space, and we are so glad that you stopped by. I would like to take this opportunity to quickly introduce who we are and what we do at GRACE RANCH.

We are Staci & Chris Thibodeaux. We both grew up on the outskirts of Baton Rouge, but we have made our home in Southwest Louisiana since 1992 where we have been raising kids, horses and cattle for a lot of years. We live in a small community, and our Catholic faith and family form the foundation of all we do. Because we believe that all of the opportunities we have, and all of the successes we enjoy are by the grace of God, it seemed only natural to name our ranch “GRACE RANCH” as an acknowledgment of this belief. It is our hope that we honor God by breeding, raising, selling and showing quality livestock and farm products.

RANCHING OPERATION- GRACE RANCH Livestock

At GRACE RANCH, we love the American Quarter Horse and Brahman cattle. These two species are the cornerstones of our ranching operation. We breed and raise American Quarter Horses for cutting and ranch work. Chris loves to ride these horses and has participated in many NCHA events as a rider, owner, and affiliate show producer. Although we aren’t on the road to shows like we used to be, we still find the cutting horse industry exciting. We continue to breed our mares to outstanding stallions each year in the hopes of producing cutting horses with excellent pedigrees and potential.

We chose to breed and raise Brahman cattle because of their tolerance of our warm climate in the Louisiana Gulf Coast and because of the qualities these cows bring to the beef industry. From this Brahman foundation, we breed and raise different registered herds. We use registered Brahman bulls on some of our Brahman females to produce pure bred Brahman cattle. We breed our first time Brahman heifers to low-birth-weight Angus bulls to produce F1 Golden Certified Brangus cattle, and lastly, some of our Brahman females are bred to registered Hereford bulls to produce F1 Golden Certified Braford cattle. In addition to these registered herds, we recently started a Brahman-influenced commercial cattle operation with our son that uses Charlais bulls to cross with F1 cows. At GRACE RANCH, we have grown and diversified our cattle operation over the years with the goals of raising quality cattle that can be sold as replacement heifers to other cattle ranchers with cow-calf operations and also producing cattle with traits that are desirable for the beef industry.

FARMING OPERATION

On GRACE RANCH, we farm crawfish and hay, and a local farmer, Kyle Fontenot, farms rice. There are a few hundred acres dedicated to these crops each year. Crawfish season is just beginning and will continue through June. Rice is planted in the spring and harvested in late summer. Our hay patches just received their application of winter fertilizer and herbicide in preparation of harvest in early spring. These various farming operations mean that something is always happening at GRACE RANCH.

Well, that’s a quick overview of what we do at GRACE RANCH. We hope you will stop by our new website from time to time to say hello and see what’s happening. We created this website as a way to share our love of what we do at GRACE RANCH with others. It is our hope that you find our website to be beautiful, easy to navigate, and informative.
