Grace Ranch is home to a few hundred head of registered cattle. The foundation of our cattle operation is the Brahman female.
At Grace Ranch, we have diversified our herds into purebred Brahman and F1 Golden Certified Brangus & Braford Cattle. We also have a small herd of Commercial cattle, which includes F1 Females who are bred to Wagyu or Angus bulls.
You'll find that our selective breeding process and meticulous care of our herds have given Grace Ranch a beautiful array of healthy, happy cows and bulls to choose from.
As a result of our youngest daughter showing Jersey cows at the Louisiana 4H shows, we have also acquired some outstanding, show-quality Jersey cows, which are a sweet addition to our cattle operation.
our selective breeding process for high quality beef products
We weren't always the stewards of over 1100 acres in Hathaway, Louisiana where we oversee a few hundred head of cattle and several horses. Our journey started with our small children on a few acres and a dream of raising cutting horses and cattle.
Now, people can pick up local beef and dairy products and view our cattle right here. We have had people travel from places like Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, and more to purchase cattle and horses that have been bred with love, care, and a lot of science.
At Grace Ranch, weaning time is decision time.
We keep our heifer calves to grow our herd internally. We cull our bull calves to choose the ones that best fit our model for our beef operation and we usually sell the other bull calves or steers.
Once our feeder steers are chosen for our Farm to Tabale Beef operation, we move them to grassy pastures where they can grow and thrive. We ensure that they have plenty of fresh water, hay, and Riomax tubs. When they reach a certain size, we move them into our finishing pasture with lots of shade and room where they are grain fed a choice feed until harvest.

Although we both (Staci and Chris Thibodeaux) love our careers as a Lawyer and Physical Therapist, we fell in love with ranch life and decided to create Grace Ranch as a place to honor the Lord in the way that we live and raise our family. Over time, we acquired the surrounding land and slowly and faithfully invested in quality cutting horses while also beginning a cattle breeding program with the Brahman at its core.
